Senior School - GCSE

Hill House School topped the table of Doncaster schools for GCSE results in 2007 and is well ahead of other English schools: 91% of its pupils achieved five or more GCSEs with grades from A* to C, including Mathematics and English; the average for the country is 45.8%.

Altogether Hill House pupils averaged 9 GCSE passes at grade C or higher.

Three students gained A* GCSEs a year early this summer: Robert Trem for Art, Alex Wilkinson for Spanish, and Matthew McHale for Religious Studies.

Special commendations will also go to Year 11 pupils Helen O’Horan who achieved 10 A* GCSEs and David Peterson who gained nine A* grades, while all six youngsters who took Art were awarded an A* grade.
